Turning into a home spa is one of the main vectors of modern bathroom development. It is increasing in size and overgrown with equipment. The key role is given to hydromassage. The massage performed by the water stream has a high health and cosmetic effect - even higher than that of the classical one, since it is in the water that a person can completely relax. Adding air to the flow of water allows for even more impressive results. The standard system includes nozzles for the legs, for the back, for the thighs and the abdomen - their number and location varies with each company.

Advanced baths are complemented by Bluetooth® audio systems including stereo speakers, chromo-aroma and ozone therapy. Spacious models, which can comfortably accommodate two or even four, are, in fact, mini-pools. From the bath, they are distinguished not only by their size, but above all by the presence of recycling, filtration and disinfection systems. Such a product can be installed both on the terrace, in the garden, and indoors, and a professional architect will find a way to enter it even in the bathroom of a city apartment. Many manufacturers offer hydromassage systems optionally, that is, the same model is available both in the “treatment” and in the regular version. Acrylic is recognized as the best material for whirlpools: it suppresses the noise of working nozzles.

Today in the production of baths used a variety of materials. Cast-iron models as “eternal classics” are in demand, but the farther, the palette becomes more diverse. “The most interesting baths, in my opinion, are made by the method of mineral casting,” says Alexander Artyukhov, representing the company Duravit. - Example: a new product from Duravit - DuraSolid A. This material, using casting, allows you to create completely new design elements: sharp edges are no longer a problem. It became possible and the connection of three-dimensional parts. As a result, we get a streamlined body without visible joints and seams. The monolithic shape without edges is a completely new phenomenon. Another advantage of DuraSolid A is its noble velvety surface. Warm and pleasant to the touch, it gives a pleasant visual and tactile sensations. "

Many leading brands have their own patented designs: LivingTec®, Coracril®, Tecnoril, Silkstone®, Cristalplant®, Krion®, Sentec, Stonematt®, Lithocast, Velvet Stone - these modern polymers and composites open up new horizons for designers. It seems that there is no such form which, thanks to them, could not be realized: from perfect roundness to a clear parallelepiped. Composites have high strength - the walls of the bath can be made strictly vertical. Due to this, the internal volume increases with the same external dimensions. Another advantage of new materials is that they are completely recyclable. Special care of manufacturers is comfort. They are looking for the perfect shape of the back, calculate the angle of inclination.

Some time ago bicolor became fashionable: the external surface of the bath is made in a different color and material than the internal one - this trend holds the position. Outside apply varnishing, painted on a scale of RAL, trim bath with copper, aluminum, oxidized metal, and even gold leaf. No longer looks like an exotic wooden decor, which, thanks to special protective coatings, remains invulnerable to water.

The most luxurious baths, no doubt, those that are made of natural stone: marble, onyx, travertine. These masterpieces are usually placed in the center of the bathroom, or even the bedroom, near the bed. Sometimes they are even installed on the podium, which makes them look like museum pieces. They are really close to a work of art. Swedish sculptor Jonas Lindvall carved a bath from a block of gray-green quartzite specifically for installation as part of an art exhibition. He took a stone, which is mined in the vicinity of the Swiss village of Wals, world-famous for its thermal baths designed by the architect, the Pritzker laureate Peter Zumthor. He used in the decoration of their term a similar stone. The integration of the bathroom into the living space, the transformation from a bathroom into a luxurious room changed the attitude to its design. Here there is furniture, appropriate in the living room or, for example, in the office. In order to save usable space, designers invented an original design: a hybrid of a bathroom and a rack. Towels and books are stored on the shelves here.
