Когда-то в этом здании располагалась база отдыха. Теперь это жилой дом, объединяющий несколько десятков частных квартир. Мы публикуем одну из них - квартиру-студию, которую сделала дизайнер Iluta rode In it, however, nothing resembles a past life at home. Perhaps only the bearing walls that had to be preserved (on the plan, they are clearly visible). But they didn’t prevent the hotel-type premises from turning into an elegant, secular space for two people. “Customers wanted their home to be functional and light,” says the designer. “The interior is difficult to attribute to any particular style, it corresponds, first of all, to my understanding of what modern style is and the lifestyle of customers who are energetic young people". And yet it must be admitted that the style of Iluta Rode originates in minimalism with its clean lines and laconic palette. However, she interpreted it very much in Baltic. “When I thought over the color scheme, I involuntarily imagined the tone of the nature of Jurmala,” comments Ilutu Rode. the black". The designer also supported the ecological theme in the interior with natural, natural materials such as bamboo and walnut, bamboo wallpaper, travertine, natural silk and wool. Sea sand under a glass coffee table with a double tabletop is another decorative hint of the closeness of nature. The author made the theme of nature the background, the main characters of this interior are the fireplace and designer furniture from Pascal Murg and Enzo Berti, who organize the public area. It seems to be a paradox that, by definition, the free space is fairly rigidly divided in half (to the right of the entrance is a public zone, to the left is a private one). But, according to Iluta Rode, such rationalism is justified: "such an environment organizes things and events itself, chaos is impossible here."Iluta Rode:"The apartment building on the Riga beach is quite ordinary, even prosaic - there was a recreation center. Acting within a single apartment, I tried to comprehend this space in my own way. The poetry of local nature inspired me. The apartment was both poetic and rational." .
