There are very few truly distinctive design hotels in the world today: according to the estimates of DESIGN HOTELS, a total of 137. Chic hotel Q! - in this prestigious list The strict building of the eight-storey hotel organically fit into a row of fashionable houses of the famous shopping area of the western part of Berlin - Kurfürstendamm boulevard (Kurfu..rstendamm). There is no sign - only the building number, and in this detail there is already some kind of intrigue, an application for eccentricity. The expressive dark red colors of the magnificent hall contrast vividly with the gray colors of the facade. Its ultramodern design is a kind of announcement of numerous architectural and decorative delights that await customers in 72 rooms, 4 studios and a penthouse Q! The authors of the project, the German architects Darss Krukeberg, Thomas Willemeith and Wolfram Putz (by the way, they designed Brad Pitt's house in Los Angeles) gave their design company an unusual name - Graft, which in English means “Grafting”. The ceiling "grows together" with the decoration in the most unexpected variations and a variety of color combinations: red with white, white with yellow or black, red with dark brown. These fantasy monoliths, in which both natural wood, bent plywood, and plastic are intricately combined, are extremely elegant and surprisingly comfortable. Connoisseurs of beauty, comfort and non-template will certainly agree with the author's assessment of the interior Q! - “cocoonlike feeling”: the rooms are cozy and intimate, like ... in a cocoon. In such an interior, everything is subordinated to the function of wrapping: even such usual things as a handle by the door or a switch protruding from the wall are absent.Hotel Q!Flight: to Berlin, the cost - ?? 400 - 1300.
