Architect and designer Garry Nuriev, founder of Crosby Studios, speaks on the Texas site with a project about fears. 6 Fears illustrates the fear of oppression, the fear of oneself, the fear of loneliness (monophobia), the fear of technology (technophobia), the fear of the city (agoraphobia) and the fear of imperfection (atelophobia).
The bright carousel, part of the My Reality installation shown at the Collective Design Fair in New York, was chosen as one of the main objects. According to the author, “the destabilizing effect of riding on the carousel is reflected in a person who feels a clear distinction between childhood and adult life, responsibility and play. The "terracotta army" of swans made of tires is destroyed by a translucent window glass suspended by chains. The viewer is confronted with a sense of loss and man-made devastation. ”
