Roses are known to mankind since antiquity. They were bred by the Egyptians, the Romans, and the Greeks. The latter came up with a beautiful legend, according to which these flowers are inextricably linked with the image of Aphrodite. When she was born into the light, coming out of the sea foam, white roses bloomed on the shore. Hurrying to meet her lover, Adonis, she clawed her foot on a thorn, a drop of blood fell on the petals, and the roses turned red. The first rose classify the Roman philosopher, historian and botanist Theophrastus. Now in the world there are hundreds of species. Florists prefer the classic - scarlet, white, tea. But interior designers are inspired by more and more roses of unusual shades - black, turquoise and even indigo.

Carla Tolomeo came up with for the brand SICIS, which has been producing mosaic furniture for several years, Moi et la Rose sofa. The back of the sofa is made in the form of two full-blown buds - bright blue, with a red trim. Mosaic inset also with floral motifs. The model has a more standard version - in red. Designer Lucia Briatti created a spectacular wall decoration in the form of black roses made of fine leather. Designers Annette van Egmond and William Brand have released a whole collection of lamps dedicated to this topic - La vie en rose. Chandeliers and wall lamps are made of iron and steel and look like armfuls of roses. Metal bouquets, by the way, can be re-arranged in any order: flowers are removable and securely fixed.
