The famous hotel Sacher Salzburg has renewed the number of rooms, while maintaining the atmosphere of a historic hotel

Of course, anything has happened. For example, “bed” interviews of John Lennon and Yoko Ono, who answered journalists' questions, wrapped in sheets. This was also at the Hotel Sacher, but not in Salzburg, but in Vienna. Both hotels have been owned by the Gürtler family for 80 years. Not one generation has changed, but the attitude remains the same: their offspring is especially expensive for the owners. They control not only financial statements. So, Elizabeth Gyurtler, who has become a legendary hotelier, is anxious about everything — from serving to choosing curtains. She personally buys antique furniture for the furnishings of her hotels and paintings, later decorating their walls. The hotel is constantly improving. That just ended the renovation of the number of rooms: 20 rooms and 10 suites. The interiors are “fresher”, the gamma has changed: now it is Bordeaux, olive and pearl gray.
I would like to remind about the hotel’s restaurants: about the Roter Salon (Austrian cuisine) overlooking the Old Town, Zirbelzimmer (delicious mushroom dishes), which is made as a hall in a hunting castle, and, of course, Café Sacher, which are light, some kind of air interiors as well as the famous desserts that are served here.
