The Artcurial auction house sells out the furnishings of the legendary Parisian Ritz Hotel. He oversees the bidding “Once Upon a Time in the Ritz”, for which 3,500 lots are exhibited, no less than the legendary decorator Vincent Darré.

The famous palace on the Place Vendome was reopened in June 2016, after four years of renovation. Starting to receive guests since 1898, being then the most beautiful hotel in the world, the Ritz became a temporary home for such stars as Coco Chanel, Marcel Proust, Callas, Audrey Hepburn.

Today the hotel is updated and much of its rich past atmosphere will go under the hammer. Arcturial auctioneers did a gigantic job, collecting about 10,000 items in the catalog. Estimate - from 100 to 5000 euros.
At the auction put up 3,500 lots, formed from 10,000 objects of decor and furnishings.
