We started with the fact that the projects were made eclectic and funny, in the early works a lot of visual references. They were interested in everything: from the harmony of classical forms to the glamor of Italian cinema of the 1960s. Studiopeppe never quote their sources literally, they always want to transform them.

“Good design is like a white shirt. You can wear it at any time, you can go to the supermarket or to a party in it. The same thing happens with a good design. It doesn't matter if it is a masterpiece of a famous master or the work of a beginner - good design works. ” That is, it helps to live better, more convenient, more diverse.

Di Pinto and Lelly Mami, while still in school, met at the Milan Polytech, where they both received a master's degree. But the alliance was not formed in the classrooms, but when creatively oriented girls met by chance on a beach in Mexico during the holidays. There they decided to combine efforts, and in 2006 Studiopepe appeared. Their first joint project is the order of the Italian magazine Casa da Abitare. They were entrusted with the shooting on the theme “Surrealism and Nonsense”. The story turned out to be very typical - orders from other editions fell down. Then the girls began to advise designer and fashion brands, as well as design installations, interiors and their own items. Among their most famous are the Kora vase.

Studiopeppe can do something extravagant and cutting-edge in graphic design, while in objects they keep practicality and simplicity. Recently, they enthusiastically designed interiors and have already achieved notable success.

“Working twice is always productive: efforts don't add up, they multiply. We are not enthusiastic about spaces filled with religious objects, if there is no intensive dialogue between them. ”

They believe that their strength is in the ability to grope the connection between the museum object and the old chair from the flea market. Many ideas are drawn in the works of Italian artists Arte Povera. They learn to see the beauty of the poor orphan materials. A good interior is born from a concept or inner vision. All external effects quickly get bored and begin to annoy. From Italian, the most appreciated is the end of the 50s - the subjects of Joe Ponti and Carlo de Carly.
