Paris is preparing for the opening of the exhibition of art and collection design PAD. In the temporary pavilion, which will appear in the Tuileries garden, gallery owners, sellers of paintings, sculptures, as well as experts offering famous design patterns of the twentieth century and ultra-modern limited edition items will gather. Rare tables, chairs, vases, chandeliers will be brought by Nina Yashar (Nulifar), Didier Křentovski (Galerie Kreo), Jacques Lacoste (Jacques Lacoste), Shahan Minassyan (Chahan Gallery) and other grandees of the gallery business. At the end of March, PAD will bring together over 60 galleries, including new entrants with excellent collections: Lorenz Baumer, Galerie Bayart, Alexandre Frédéric, Galerie 56, Michèle Hayem, Galerie Lumières, Galerie Marcilhac and Galerie Mingei. As usual, the jury, consisting of architects, decorators, art historians and collectors, will choose the best stand, the best object of the twentieth century and the best modern subject. This year, the jury will be headed by Marie-Laure Jusset, honorary curator and head of the design department of the Center for Contemporary Art. J. Pompidou.
Beautiful interior of the Studio PAD hall this year was designed by Pierre Gonalon with the participation of Pierre Frey and Mobiler National. The Parisian apartment of a Russian dancer and famous collector Rudolf Nureyev, decorated in the 1990s by Emilio Carcano, became an inspiration for this space, which welcomed the guests of the exhibition.
The PAD restaurant design, which hosts meetings, formal and informal lunches, was designed this year by Sarah Lavoine.
