The Italian exhibition Cersaie is a real “field” of fashion trends. One of them, the organizers called now: water. It is expected as watercolor stains, cool shades and sparkling highlights, and technological innovations.

The trends of last year that continue to develop and be actively exploited are still relevant: ceramic imitations of wood texture, brickwork and natural marble; shades of gray and nuances of a neutral palette; chevron or zigzag patterns; graphic design elements - from optical effects to pencil drawings; 3D effect in decoration and relief. Another trend that is gaining momentum is a variety of materials. For example, a mosaic is now offered not only from the usual glass or ceramics, but also wooden or metal. And manufacturers of porcelain tiles are beginning to produce floor boards.

About 800 companies will present their collections. Among them are manufacturers of sanitary, architectural and decorative finishing solutions. The latter are especially widely represented - this is ceramic tile, porcelain tile and mosaic.

An important event of the exhibition is the performance of the architect Diebedo Francis Kere (Diébédo Francis Kéré), which will be held as part of the building, dwelling, thinking program. A native of Burkina Faso today lives in Berlin and is engaged in projects of socially significant buildings. His name is well known - in 2017, it was he who designed the temporary summer pavilion for the Serpentine gallery, following such authors as Zaha Hadid, Jean Nouvel, Rem Koolhaas, etc.

The guests of honor of the exhibition are Spanish architect Elisa Valero Ramos (Elisa Valero Ramos) and Chilean Sebastian Irarrazaval (Cristian Irarrazaval). Everyone will hold a conference in the Gallery of Architecture (Galleria dell’Architettura) within the framework of the cultural program “Build, Live, Think” (Italian: “costruire, abitare, pensare”).

This year, Cersaie became a partner of Bologna Design Week, which will be held for the third time and will be held almost simultaneously with the exhibition, from September 26 to 30. Visitors are waiting for the exhibition, master classes, excursions, discussions on the theme of design, art and fashion.
