In a project developed by the studio Tatyana BozhovskayaThe main stylistic reference point was the Baroque era. The interior of the country mansion was the result of the transposition of the main principles of this style in a modern way.

The project was based on the desire of the customer to create a house similar to ceremonial country residences. The mansion was supposed to be a place designed for secluded relaxation, for meeting guests, and for work. The inspiration for the architect was the Baroque style. The modern interpretation of one of the most luxurious classical styles has retained the main features of its prototype: an underlined attention to the decorative component, the desire for pomp and grandeur.

In the development of the planning decision, the authors of the project followed the traditional path. On the ground floor there is a living room combined with a dining room, a kitchen and a study. The hall, the hall and the central part of the public area are built along the same axis. Due to this, the entrance to the combined space of the living room and the dining room opens from the entrance. The master bedroom, boudoir and bathroom are placed in a line and occupy most of the second floor. There is also a guest bedroom and dressing room. Recreation area, consisting of a sauna, hammam and relaxation room, is located in the basement.

“All rooms of the mansion have a special, memorable character. To show it help bright and expressive details of the finish. However, the spectacular features of each of the premises do not interrupt each other, but, on the contrary, work to create an integral ensemble, ”explains Tatyana Bozhovskaya. The lush carved decor of furniture reminds of the baroque traditions. The backs of the sofas in the living room and boudoir are decorated with characteristic flower garlands. Mirrors, shop windows, and a TV stand are framed by massive wooden frames with intricate floral patterns. In the master bedroom there is another typical motive for this style: the carved headboard and the front of the shelves imitate the drape of the fabric, picked up by ribbons. The bizarre shape of the chairs in the dining room embodies the Baroque desire for smooth, flowing lines and the rejection of strict symmetry. Ornate floral patterns are repeated in the pattern of textiles, in the decoration of the ceiling and walls. The abundance of stucco decoration in the decoration is offset by the neutral white or milky color of the ceiling, as well as the light color of the walls. White, silver, gray and beige tones become a favorable background for bright pieces of furniture as well as color solutions. In the public areas of the first floor and in the master bedroom is dominated by various shades of purple Silver, greenish and blue tones dominate in the kitchen, entrance area and guest bedroom. A more restrainedly decorated office, the walls of which are lined with silver boiserie with a patina.

The cold colors of public and private rooms are complemented by bright warm tones of the recreation area. The rest room, divided into two parts by a magnificent portal, is made in the Moorish style. The walls and floor are decorated with different varieties of marble, golden glass mosaic, mosaic panels. Similarly decorated floor in the entrance area, dining room, living room. If in the first two cases the mosaic panel is built into the marble surface, then in the living room area it decorates the parquet floor. The main material for finishing the bathrooms is also marble combined with onyx and mosaic elements. Noble materials of decoration together with colorful baroque motifs reproduce in the modern house the solemn atmosphere of the ceremonial country residences.

Project author Tatyana Bozhovskaya: “Our main task was to create a functional and at the same time truly luxurious interior, reflecting the bright personality of the customer and paying tribute to the baroque traditions. We have adapted the aesthetics of this style to the realities of a modern country house, adding elements from other directions. At the same time, the facade is made deliberately restrained, in order to focus attention on the lush interior decoration "
