“The model embodies the device of outer space. Its geometry is simple: a sphere is separated from the center of the cube. Perpendicular lines divide the volume into four fragments, of which only three are represented. To complete the structure of "Cosmos", the viewer must mentally draw the missing element of the composition. "
Four versions. Transparent Christal was released in 19 copies, 30 pieces each include three others, which show spectacular chromatic overflows: Acquamare / Grapes / Green Mint, Tea / Red / Mole Brown, Straw / Grass Green / Rosé.
Kosmos is not the first work of the Italian brand with Tadao Ando. In 2012 there was a lamp Veliero, in 2015 - Ando Time. Venini is an old company that has been creating decor items and Murano glass lamps for almost a hundred years. One of the few manufacturers who work in traditional techniques, but are not afraid of experiments: they combine craftsmanship with bright nominal design. Authors include Carlo Scarpa, Ettore Sottsass, Emmanuel Babled, Fabio Novembre, Rodolfo Dordoni, Studio Job, Fernando and Umberto Campana. Tadao Ando notes that with his skill Venetian glaziers turned the subject of his design into a “precious sculpture”.
