Bathroom: composites and origami

The Collapse collection was created by the Italian company Rapsel together with the students of the Milan Polytechnic University J. Branco Norsalle, D. Costa and B. Kotzak. The unusual broken shape of the objects allowed to realize the composite Velvet®. The toilet and bidet are ceramic, but covered with Velvet®. The second material - Canaletto nut with special impregnation - gives the collection timeless chic. Collapse is one of two premieres shown by the brand at the Milan Furniture Salon in April 2016. Manufacturer Rapsel always chooses non-standard ideas. The company invites famous designers who are able to offer an exclusive. Among its authors are Joe Ponti, Philippe Starck, Luca Scacchetti, duo Palomba, Matteo Thun. The combination of mastering the use of new materials, research in the field of functionality and aesthetics, leads to an inexhaustible flow of revolutionary products under the Rapsel logo.

The collection includes a bath, a sink, a toilet (pictured), storage modules, a mirror. All items resemble the Japanese origami game. The mirror has an LED backlight. The sink drain is invisible - it is located along the bottom edge of the bowl.
