Barn in the city: marble and barn wood

The Dutch brand Barn in the City presented a collection of sculptural tables of antique boards.

The tops of the Hervé models are made from barn wood — planks and beams of nineteenth-century buildings owned by Canadian farmers. The material is unusually textured, with traces of time. Designers emphasize its beauty with deliberately smooth elements: the bases of the tables are made of natural marble in combination with metal. You can choose from several color options.

Models offer to use as side tables for a laptop or a cup of coffee. Made from marble in combination with wood and metal, small items for living rooms are one of the furniture trends of the last Salone Internazionale del Mobile 2017 exhibition.
