The building occupied by Angleterre was rebuilt in the 1840s. They owned the entrepreneur Napoleon Bokin, and, accordingly, the hotel was called "Napoleon". Subsequently, he was converted into a profitable house, and then resold, and the new owners reopened the hotel here. And so it went on for more than a century and a half. In the late 1990s, Angleterre was bought by ROCCO FORTE COLLECTION. The historic mansion was rebuilt and restored to its former splendor: at the end of the XIX century the hotel was considered one of the most luxurious in St. Petersburg and attracted famous guests.

Angleter is located next to St. Isaac's Cathedral, the views from here are stunning. The rooms are decorated in soothing, noble colors.
