The aesthetics of the 1970s are again relevant. Designers urge us to recall bright prints, cheerful colors and grandmother's knitting

The seventies are Led Zeppelin songs, jeans, Pinochet, and the flowering of unofficial art in the USSR. In the field of fashion, these are flared trousers, knitted baggy sweaters, long colorful skirts and platform sandals. The 70th would be the definition of a bright decade: saturated colors would prevail in combination with a geometric or floral pattern. Ultimate simplicity was characteristic of the fashion and object design of those years (it was not without reason that simple ornaments in the form of stripes, circles and zigzags turned out to be at the peak of popularity).

A few years ago there was already a boom in the 60s. Now is the finest hour of the "next" decade. In the wake of abandoning excesses and striving for naturalness, the aesthetics of the 70s are gaining more and more fans. Furniture in the spirit of the 70s - concise forms, upholstered in fabric with a colorful print (which, by the way, was duplicated on lampshades, and on porcelain, and on wallpaper) - can make the interior amazingly stylish. The then popular knitting is still in vogue (knitting vases, carpets, it seems, soon it will reach knitted furniture).

This design can be blamed for being empty. On the other hand, why not? Bright, fun, beautiful. This situation can not cheer up. In addition, it is worth remembering that it was in the 1970s that radical design groups appeared, and conscious simplification in those years was perceived as extreme creative audacity.
