In late September, Moscow hosted the regular specialized textile exhibition Heimtextil Russia

The exhibition traditionally brings together industry professionals: designers, decorators, dealers, the press from all over Russia and the near abroad. But exhibitors come from all over the world. This year a large block of participants was represented by Egypt and India, as well as by China, several of its major industrial regions, and Turkey. The block of European manufacturers was opened by Italians and Spaniards, a separate place was devoted to the exhibition Made in Germany. We found several new names at once that deserve a separate story. The Austrian brand of bed linen, HEFEL, is not so widely known to the Moscow public, and yet it has already been presented at the Central Department Store. The company was founded by Josef Anton Khefelem in 1907 and is still managed by his heirs. All production, as before, is concentrated in Austria. Technology is maintained, materials are used first-class. On Heimtextil, the brand showed a collection of classic and modern bed linen made of tensl — the finest hypoallergenic viscose, which is softer to the touch than silk, as well as original mattress covers with aphrodisiac. We were also interested in the German brand EAGLE PRODUCTS, which produces bright woolen, cashmere and silk plaids and stoles, they were just shown at the exhibition. The factory has a special service for manufacturing custom-made products: you can choose a material, for example, to make a double-sided silk-cashmere blanket, colors, monogram embroidery and so on.

Individual attention deserve domestic producers. For example, the Moscow factory SVETLANA, which presented an impressive collection of curtain fabrics and home textiles, inspired by circus art. The creativity of young print artists Galina Minina and Irina Khalezova has yet to find its industrial embodiment, at the exhibition the girls showed their latest designs — spectacular prints that can be used in the design of textiles, decoration materials and clothing.
