Our time is an era of amazing freedom, when a classic matrix is ​​just a reason for a designer, an architect, a decorator to create something new, something special and exclusive. Therefore, the classical styles today are, to put it in Pushkin’s language, “a collection of motley chapters” and certainly not a museum. Nevertheless, the starting point and the beginning began — this is historicism. Famous furniture factories recreate amazing copies of antique furniture according to archival drawings, according to available samples. In Europe, everything was perfectly preserved, including upholstery fabrics that are now successfully copied: Louis XIII style tapestries, silk and cotton with wreaths of wild flowers and ribbons in the style of Marie Antoinette, silk with other empire wreaths, arrows and torches. All epochs are represented, up to ar-nouveau with its “colors of evil” —makom and thistle, and art-deco with its geometrical ornaments. Historical furniture in the "archival" upholstery will emphasize the special status of the owners. Condition: the interior must meet it.
