Food design: printed food

Food printed on the printer has become the object of design culture. The world's first 3D printing restaurant opened in London. In Kharkov, a graduate of the architectural institute Dinara Kasko publishes with the help of 3D modeling virtuoso desserts that have received world recognition.

Since the first series of food printers was launched in 2014, and the universities of Denmark and Australia have taken up a “print” ration for hospitals, chefs and restaurateurs have thought about new possibilities of “printed food”, connecting designers to the study of food chemistry.

The project of the world's first 3D-printing restaurant started in July 2016. The brainchild of Food Ink. this establishment still exists as a mobile pop-up traveling the world. All food, dishes and furniture here are printed on the printer.

Culinary curators Joel Castani, Michelin's chef E bulli and Mato Blanche have developed a multiformula with main dishes and desserts. Design advisor, high tech follower and 3D printing guru Arthur Mamou-Mani created the furniture collection. The Dutch company Flow has released printers for cooking. The whole process of three-dimensional printing takes place in front of customers.

Drinks and food are not the only entertainment. The restaurant is decorated with visual projections from floor to ceiling and new music. The concept of pop-up persists: the institution goes on tour - from Central America to the Middle East.
