A new project by designers Oksana Turchak and Pavel Piyaykin — subtle, poetic reminiscence of Provence style

Designer Oksana Turchak says that her acquaintance with the customers of this project began with the publication in the magazine SALON – interior, dedicated to her work — a country house in Provence style, which won the prestigious Interia Awards. The interiors of this house fascinated customers, and they offered Oksana to create a new variation of this style in the interiors of their townhouse in a country village near St. Petersburg.

First of all, the designers offered customers a more rational layout, reorienting the interior so that there were as many windows as possible in the bedrooms and bathrooms. The new logic of the arrangement of the rooms responded to the way of life of customers — couples with children. So there was a common space of the living room and dining room, adjacent to the kitchen. If you push the door, these two rooms also become one. On the upper floors are bedrooms (for children — in the attic under the roof). In developing a stylistic solution to the interior, Oksana suggested weaving bright colors into the canvas of pastel Provence. As a result, the image of the living room-dining room in green tones was born. Designers built the interior on the game of shades: subdued green in the decoration of the walls (moldings, curbs) flashes with azure curtains and light turquoise sofas and is crushed by a scattering of emerald pillows, paintings and decorative plants. Bright colors are used in the design of children: lilac, lavender, golden yellow. The master bedroom, on the other hand, is a study in soothing pearl – gray tones. The image of a refined French interior is complemented by textiles with a patterned jouy and lamps with a patinated frame. Behind the canopy there is a bathroom decorated in light brown tones: sand tile with chestnut decor repeats the pattern displayed on textiles.

The impression of lightness and grace supports the decision of the staircase. The staircase fence is made like a trellis trellis, which reminds of country parks, gazebos entwined with wild grapes. Highlighting the steps creates an interesting, fascinating play of shadows. Designers carefully and lovingly picked up all the accessories that decorate the interior. Oksana attaches importance to them, because often these little things create a mood. Over time, customers are still comfortable in this interior, moreover, this house has become an integral part of the life of the whole family. Designers say that this, perhaps, is what you always dream of, starting to work on a new project.
