The magnificent Mayhof Palace in the Swiss canton of Schwyz is surrounded by green meadows and is surrounded by a beautiful old park. Built in the late 17th century as a general in the service of the emperor of Hapsburg, resembling a fortress, since 1916 it has belonged to the family of an agronomist and an international elected observer. Three restless children, Guinean pigs, numerous cats and dogs - a truly family atmosphere reigns in this stately mansion built in the style of Italian Baroque. Farmland covers an area of four and a half hectares, including a park and a garden plot. Both are always in perfect order, as is the house itself, with its antique furniture, antique paintings and chandeliers. Mayhof permanently restored and updated, because the family hopes to live here for many more years and save the old palace for future generations. Just a step separates visitors to the park from the modest lobby. Front rooms are located on the floor above. Ancient paintings, weapons, mirrors encompass the whole story. Furniture and parquet were carefully restored in the art workshop. Carefully preserved graceful stucco patterns on the ceilings, whose design has never been repeated in any of the rooms, the elegant framing of wide window and door openings give the interiors a noble solemnity.
