Architects Eugene Shargin and Elena Treskina from the design and restoration workshop “Tradition” specialize in restoration. Over the years they have reconstructed many old buildings and interiors. There are in their portfolio and modern private projects. Like, for example, this country mansion. From the very beginning, the owners dreamed of a family home, a cozy family nest in which their large and friendly family consisting of several generations could live. The site is located on the Bay of the Angara River, 20 kilometers from Irkutsk. A quiet, secluded place, centuries-old pines, isolation from civilization allowed the architects to make a choice in favor of the estate organization. In addition to the main house, they designed several more buildings on the territory, thus creating a whole complex, designed in the same style. However, not only the external similarity makes the house related to historical prototypes. In spirit and atmosphere, this is the Russian manor. “In our opinion, there is now a revival of the estate-style lifestyle,” notes Evgeny, “this is the wealth that we have lost, but which, fortunately, is being revived. For us, with Elena, the estate is not just a set of certain signs, belonging to a particular style. Rather, it is a world view, a way of being in society and in the family. The owners of the house are all very close. Friends, parents, children constantly come to them, pies are baked in the house, family lunches and dinners are served, and gatherings are arranged. We even planned the first floor as one large volume in which there is enough space for everyone. As for the style of the interior, it is a restrained classic. We were repelled by the fact that people will live here. After all, a house is not a museum space. It should be lively, homely, cozy. "
