S: What do you think is causing these changes?S: When you say so, are you guided by sociological data? All this is a completely new trend, but they arose on the basis of last year’s palette. - Evolution. This year, we are no longer thinking like in the past. Due to political circumstances, because of everything that is happening in the world around us ... We are changing ourselves, and with us - colors, materials, etc. For example, transparency is now in vogue, but over time materials will inevitably become more tangible and denser. - Not. Design is a living substance. It arises under the influence of thoughts, music, fashion ... Design is ... Excuse me, this is design. It is impossible for designers to expect them to behave like military or office workers. Designers just have to be crazy. Such a profession.S: How is your work with designers organized? “I tell them a story.” For example, on the Scandinavian landscapes or the atmosphere of a beautiful morning. How cashmere transforms or what happens this year with blue and green ... God gave me good eyes ...S: Do designers always follow your advice? “No, sometimes they say I'm crazy and they leave.” (Laughs)S: By what principle did you select fabrics for exposures? - It was an international study. I worked with groups of marketers from different countries ... Our task was to find out what is happening now in the global market. As a result, a mix was created based on the collected data, which includes a certain number of pantones. I divided these colors according to the principle of morning, afternoon and evening illumination, and last June I sent out to the participants of the Heimtextil fair: to India, Japan ... - all over the world. And in November, these companies sent us materials for each of the groups, and we prepared expositions.S: Surely you already know what your exhibition will look like at Heimtextil next year? - I have a feeling that next time at the exhibition I will make shops. Each of them will have their own mood: classical, romantic, etc. I think it will be interesting for visitors.
