The main hall of the Tchaikovsky Cafe is connected to the hall, with large panoramic windows overlooking Mayakovsky Square. “Designing a cafe that is located in a historic building,” says the decorator. Alexandra Gatenyan, - we primarily started from the style of a classic European cafe. For us, the main thing was not to disturb the architecture of this historic building and emphasize that this cafe belongs to music and musicians. For example, all the furniture and some of the fixtures in Tchaikovsky were made according to our sketches. The floor is classic parquet and marble, the stucco and art paintings on the ceiling, the walls are finished with wooden panels and textured plaster. ”
