The interior of the new restaurant Café del mar balances on the verge of a modern and historical style. A building of almost 100 years of age is a rarity for Novosibirsk. “I wanted to highlight the historical roots of this interior,” says Elena Chernykh, - save the old brickwork, add elements of stucco on the ceiling and hang forged antique chandeliers. The rest of the design techniques are modern: the ceiling is torn away from the walls by luminous lighting, ornamental wall paintings, illuminated frosted glass inserts on the floor, furniture of laconic chopped forms. The furniture is set off by the strict and sustained tone of this interior.
