A few years ago there was a desert in the middle of the rocky mountains and modest Bedouin buildings, until the first five-star hotel appeared. Subsequently, four more luxury hotels were added to it. Now the territory of the resort Taba is beautiful palm parks, one of which is national, golf courses, a shopping center with restaurants, a casino and a diving club. The largest hotel of the five is the Taba Heights Marriott Beach Resort. The world-famous MARRIOTT chain has long been a reputation for business hotels, where famous people and major businessmen stay. Egyptian Marriott is no exception. Built in 2002, it is equipped with everything necessary not only for recreation, but also for work. The hotel has 394 rooms (including 22 suites). Among them are a presidential suite with a jacuzzi on the balcony and three suites with a jacuzzi in the room. In three spacious banquet halls that accommodate up to 180 people, all the conditions for holding presentations, conferences and corporate meetings.

Since Taba is surrounded by mountains, even in winter there are practically no winds, and the temperature during the day does not fall below + 27ºС. And if swimming in the sea seems to someone dubious, then Taba Marriott has a huge pool (2,800 square meters) with heated sea water and a jacuzzi. The hotel has an excellent SPA-center, which offers numerous medical and cosmetic procedures based on oriental techniques, using herbs and oils, various types of massage, as well as a 24-hour fitness club with a gym, sauna and Arabic steam room.

The southern coast of Sinai gained fame as one of Egypt’s best diving sites thanks to its amazingly beautiful coral reefs and rich marine fauna. That diving attracts tourists here. Not far from the resort are the Saladin Palace on the island of the Pharaohs, the monastery of St. Catherine, Mount Sinai (or, as the Egyptians call it, Mount Moses) with a height of 2,285 meters. The legend says that the tablets with ten commandments were transferred to Moses here. One of the most popular entertainment is a safari in the Color Canyon.
