In the collection of the Italian brand Antonio Lupi — shells and bathtubs made from solid blocks of marble and onyx. About what other materials the factory is developing, says its head Andrea Lupi

Andrea Lupi joined the family business in the 1980s, almost simultaneously with his brother Nello and sister Patricia. “With the advent of a new generation,” says Andrea, “in the company founded by our father in the 1950s, rapid changes have taken place. This point came in the early 2000s, when we began to collaborate with designers Nevio Tellatin and Carlo Colombo, who largely determined the face of the brand. Laconic language of forms and non-standard materials brought to the collections of ANTONIO LUPI sanitary technicians a great success. “Our company,” says Andrea proudly, “was the first to introduce the Corian shells in 2002. A couple of years later we came up with another innovative proposal — to use natural stone: onyx, white Carrara and black marble, moonstone ... ”First, the brand’s bestsellers — sinks and bathtubs from the Carlo Colombo Materia collection appeared in natural stone, then new models followed . “Now, when many factories have mastered natural stone, we rely on technologically advanced materials such as Cristalplant and Ceramilux composites. They allow you to embody unusual shapes that are not available in ceramics or stone, ”says Andrea. Under his leadership, the company expands not only the collection of materials, but also the range. At Cersaie 2013, ANTONIO LUPI presented a new line of decorative coatings Affreschi, the creation technology of which imitates the technique of fresco painting. And for the upcoming iSaloni del Bagno, she is preparing collections that are not just for the bathroom. ”
