When designing a hotel building, architect Rocco Yim (Rocco Design Architects) primarily took into account the views that will open from the windows. After all, ICON is located in an unusually picturesque place - in Kowloon, where the main attractions of Hong Kong Island are concentrated. This task defined the configuration of the building. The architect also used panoramic glazing: this is how the boundaries between the interior and the city are erased.
