Fashion designer Jean-Paul Gautier continues his collaboration with Lelièvre. The collection of fabrics and wallpapers under the brand Jean Paul Gaultier by Lelièvre, presented in January, was their sixth joint work.

The theme of the new collection Voyages Voyages became travel. Gautier interprets cultural codes from around the world in his own way, equally inspired by Russian patterns (plush and velvet Babouchka), Japanese sakura and kimono (Sakura curtain fabrics, Kyoto satin fabrics), fragments of ads on the subway walls and stained glass, painting and graphics.
Fabrics and wallpapers are decorated with expressive, various prints. Some reproduce flowering gardens with photographic accuracy, others consist of pixels. Patterns in the technique of pointillism coexist with black and white graphics, and traditional Japanese floral motifs with colorful “collages”.
