Veemo ™ is a sophisticated, closed, electric vehicle connected to a smartphone, ideal for urban and suburban areas. This bike is designed to compete not with bikes, but with cars, with its all-weather use, carrying capacity and anti-theft equipment.
Cody Baker and his Veemo ™ were awarded the 2018 Global Award for Changing Ideas from Fast Company. The bike turned out to be among 12 winners and more than 200 finalists: from food to technology for developing countries.Veemo ™ “bicycles”, equipped with pedals and hand brakes, are intuitive and simple. The body is protected by a case, there are power windows, a comfortable seat, heated handles, a navigation unit and a holder for cups. At the core of the design is a patented electric drive system and a solar panel on the roof that recharges a 500W lithium battery. Speed - up to 32 km per hour. Weight - 120 kg.
VeloMetro focuses on sales in Vancouver, then in North America and, ultimately, in cities around the world. Veemo ™ is officially classified as a bike, so driver's licenses are not needed.
