The suite was created in collaboration with the RED Foundation, an organization to fight AIDS, headed by musician Bono and activist Bobby Shriver. Part of the funds from each residence will be transferred to the fund.
“We were honored to work with Sir Terence Conran,” said Otto Steenbeek, general manager of Andaz London Liverpool Street, “to create this amazing space that accurately reflects the spirit of East London and which will allow our guests to contribute to the fight against Aids.
The suite (ANDAZ) RED, the largest hotel room, offers guests designer furniture, Terence Conran's favorite armchairs Eames and Karusselli, as well as a copy of the coffee table that Terence designed for his own home.
“Previously, this hotel was known as the Great Eastern Hotel, and this was my first major project, so being here again is a dream come true,” said Terence Conran. - I am proud to work with the Andaz brand and the foundation (RED), because they gave the guests the opportunity to enjoy living in a thematic suite and do a good deed.
We carefully selected each work of art, whose authors are local artists and photographers who decorate the suite - and thanks to them, this creative atmosphere of East London, at the same time cozy and modern, was achieved here. ”
Suite includes a living and dining area, as well as a separate bedroom, with all the details and furniture make this suite completely different from the other rooms and public spaces of the hotel. The bathroom is equipped with Dornbracht black brass fittings, a bath from Laufen, and heated floors.
The walls are decorated with African portraits of the British photographer John Rankin (Rankin). In a special design cabinet from Conran presents designer goods that you can buy from 14 to 300 p. Art. From each purchase additional funds are transferred to the fund.
