Smart slab: new generation smart tables

Designers of the Swedish-German studio Kram / Weisshaar made a table with a super-thin table top that changes the temperature. So much so that on the table you can prepare dishes and keep the plates hot during meals and cold drinks. Thanks to induction rings embedded in the ceramic surface of the table, it functions as a hob. And if you put the plates in the right places that support the mode of 42.5 ° C, the food served will keep the optimum temperature. But the areas with a temperature of 5 ° C are kept thanks to the built-in coolers, the Peltier anti-fever device. The table top itself is made of innovative material SapienStone, which is a ceramic tile for buildings with a maximum size of 1.5 x 1.5 m with a thickness of only 6 mm. Smart Slab tables were presented to the public and the press during Milan Design Week. Tables entered one of the most spectacular parts of the project Atelier Clerici. And the presentation itself was held with the active participation of the company Iris Ceramica Group, a manufacturer of ceramic materials of the new generation. The company arranged a sumptuous dinner in the halls of the Clerici Palace, setting the guests at the advanced tables.

Smart Slab's super slim ceramic worktop allows you to both cook and serve. The table easily turns into the cooking panel. Cooking and dinner now take place simultaneously.
