The French company was founded by René Moritz and Julien Woerth. She initially specialized in the manufacture of electrical wires and cables. In 1935, Victor Moritz, the son of Rene, in the Alsatian village of Ranshofen began producing spring mattresses. Victor has repeatedly been to USA, from where, in fact, he brought the spring mattress technology and the Box Spring system. In 1939, he opened the second production in Bozhency, on the banks of the Loire, and in 1974 the first mattresses of the Pullman and Imperial series were produced. The next product was decorated beds, which appeared in 1955. They were released by the third company, opened in the Bourg de Tizi, near Lyon. And in 1964, Treca Interiors Paris presented a series of electrically adjustable beds. At the same time, active export of products began, Treca offices opened in Germany, Belgium and Switzerland. In 1990, after the death of Victor Moritz, the company temporarily withdrew to the Japanese concern Sumitomo, but today it belongs again to the French, the Sauval Industries group. Its annual turnover is more than 60 million euros.
