This interior in the center of St. Petersburg is designed mainly for representational purposes: the owners have long lived in the suburbs and visit the city dwelling infrequently. This allowed the release of a new apartment from domestic functions and bring to the fore its decorative properties. The task was fully consistent with the author’s style of architect Larisa Davletbaeva, who called it decorative minimalism. This is practically the only apartment in which the customer gave me a blank check, ”says the author of the project. - First, we had a long time to grind each other. And then, when she realized that I was following the right course, I relaxed, said “do it all myself” and did not even look at the tinting options. For the first time she saw the interior already completed. I confess that I did the project in one breath, and I even felt a little sorry that the apartment was so small, only 180 square meters. m ... The apartment has almost no empty walls. Wherever it was possible, niches or built-in furniture were made: the hostess has a large library and needs a lot of space for a collection of books. The pride of the architect is a one-way staircase. Its polished wooden handrail is mounted on welded metal supports. Instead of traditional balusters - "web" of forged metal. The stairs, parquet and furniture in the bedroom and bathroom are made of wenge. On the mezzanine staged a library. And despite the fact that the hostess for the first time saw the interior already completed, she contributed to its design by transporting her collection of Chinese figurines here. The culture of China is its profession and main hobby. Larisa Davletbaeva:“The hostess of the apartment is a modern business woman, very collected, quickly making decisions. At first she wanted to have a minimalist interior. But I managed to introduce spectacular decorative details into the strict space ... ”
