January 20, 2018 at the age of 85, American designer and artist Wendell Castle passed away. Castle, who is called the grandfather of "art furniture", was the first in the United States who decided that utilitarian tables and chairs are the same sculptures. And can be exhibited and sold as works of art.

Today, his works are in the collections of the largest museums in the world (the Metropolitan Museum and the MoMA in New York, the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, etc.), and also toured all the major collections of design collections from Basel to Tokyo.
