Italian brand Poltronova celebrates the 50th anniversary of the Superonda sofa, developed by the design group Archizoom in 1967.

Archizoom was founded by architects Andrea Branzi, Massimo Morozzi, Paolo Deganello, Gilberto Corretti and designers Dario and Lucia Bartolini. One of the main representatives of the "radical design", they opposed modernism and for a new approach to design, creating objects extravagant, ironic, even kitsch.

Sofa Superonda was one of the first models without a rigid internal frame. The polyurethane construction covered with fabric was divided into two halves by a wavy line. They could be used as a sofa, armchair, bench, bed, table or sculpture.

In the framework of the Milan Triennale, the company represents a limited collection. Superonda Special sofas in six new upholstery - the number of participants Archizoom - available in the amount of 11 copies each.

Used prints, developed by the now-living authors of the original model: Dario Bartolini (Babele model and Dressing model, created by him instead of Lucia Bartolini), Gilberto Corretti (No-stop), Christina Morozzi (Pois, developed by her instead of Massimo Morozzi), Paolo Deganello (Spots ) and Andrea Branzi (Stripes).
