Mika (Mika - Michael Holbrook Penniman Jr.) - British singer and musician, with a bunch of nominations and awards, which was named new Freddie Mercury, collaborates with Studio Job. Job Smits and Ninke Tinagel are talents from a select group of museum and gallery designers. After visiting their Antwerp studio in 2013, Mika was so inspired that he attracted Studio Job to the set design of his tours and performances.

First came the show No Place in Heaven (“No Place in Paradise”) with a set of apocalyptic symbols - smoking factory pipes, liners, huge sharks, gas masks, pills and poisons going under the water. Yob and Ninke invented not only the scenery, but also props - a huge scarlet heart, a throne, a piano, a birthday cake - in the spirit of Disney cartoons, branded with the letter “M” and a skull with bones. Job Smits is always ready to go on stage and sing a duet with a pop star, while the singer jumps out of the cake, then comes out of the heart, or quietly plays the piano, taking a pause between ecstatic steps.

Winner of the range of five octaves, Mika studied vocal with the Russian opera singer. He had to perform at the London Royal Opera, write jingles to advertise Orbit chewing gum and music played on board British Airways.

“The co Studio Job Project started on my kitchen table,” says Mika. - We had a dream - to build a show that can develop and grow over time. Like elements from the circus of Alexander Calder, every item here is a landmark and can make you smile. The combination of light and dark, joy and sadness. The collaboration with Studio Job is one of the best. Their objects carry a lot of emotions for me ... "

The European tour of 2016, in addition to Nîmes, Carcassonne, Palermo, Genoa, Strasbourg, Prague, Kaunas, includes Russian sites. The first Mika concerts in Russia will take place on July 28 in Moscow (Green Theater) and on July 29 in St. Petersburg (Ice Palace).
