The German brand Cybex is known to parents all over the world. The company specializes in the production of baby strollers and car seats. This year, Sybex for the first time presented its Parents furniture collection, which was created by the shocking Dutchman, owner of Moooi and Moooi Carpets - Marcel Wanders.

In the art community Wanders is often called the "Lady Gaga design" - for the ability to surprise and a love of provocation, because each of his work, whether it’s a thoughtful interior of a restaurant or a piece of furniture, is sophisticated fantasy, irony and extravagance.
Marcel Wanders was born in 1963 in Boxtel, Holland. In 1988 he graduated with honors from the ArtEZ Institute of Arts in Arnhem (Holland). In 1995, together with other designers founded the studio The Droog Collective. Fame comes to Wanders in 1996 - he creates the so-called Rope chair for Cappellini. In 2001, together with his friend Kasper Visserc, he founded the company Moooi, in which he now works as a creative director. Dutch design superstar Marcel Wanders invented in mass production to imitate handicraft and propagandizes barocco digital, collaborating with famous brands, including Baccarat, Flos, Swarovski, the national Dutch air carrier KLM and others. In 2016, Wanders had already hit his fans with the fabulous Monster garden carpet for Pierre Frey and mosaic tulips for Bisazza.

The Parents collection, as the name suggests, is aimed at parents. Its concept is extremely simple: according to the designer, these are carefree items that give joy to life. It is also worth noting that at the heart of the Cybex philosophy, along with design and functionality, is safety. It is about her that Wanders says when he calls his objects serious, since they are meant for babies or young children.
The collection includes children's chaise lounges, rocking chairs, chairs for feeding, as well as a variety of accessories. As a basis for the design of children's furniture, Wanders uses his famous Monster chair. All presented objects are executed in monochrome scale. The central images are colorful images of fantastic creatures. The owner of Cybex, Martin Pos, also calls them "monsters", but they are all depicted with a smile and in the most bizarre color combinations, so they are not able to scare the child, but rather to arouse his curiosity.
