There is a lot of precious wood in this interior, a lot of gold and precious fabrics ... Very generous, very Moscow!

Olga Tymyanskaya remembers that when she met the owners, it turned out that they prefer a modern style in the interior. And suddenly - very unexpectedly - they opted for the classics. The apartment, according to the general opinion, had to meet the level of the house in which it is located. That is to be representative, elegant. Who would argue that the classics have a huge range of possibilities for accomplishing such tasks!

“Customers wanted a lot of wood in the interior,” says Olga Tymyanskaya. - I love wood: it is very “warm” material, and at the same time it can look luxurious and even pompous. I mean a tree with an unusual texture, carving, gilding, tinting. In our project, we, working with wood, just tried to keep this balance of comfortable and luxurious. ”

Thus, in the hall there were designed walnut bookcases decorated with gilded carvings, in the office there was a boiserie with picturesque inserts, in the kitchen there was furniture made of solid wood in a light toning in the spirit of the Mediterranean ... portal. His carved ornament echoes the carved patterns of the hall. A similar "frame" is decorated and the ceiling of the dining room. This technique helps to zone the dining room space: a chandelier is placed in the center of the “frame”, and under it, in turn, is a table. It, in accordance with the leading theme of the interior, is made of wood, with a polished table top and with a heavy carved base. “In the halls and in the living-dining room, we tried to increase the feeling of luxury, to thicken it,” says the author of the project. - In the hall - pompous (we deliberately sought such a degree of luxury) gilded carving on a dark tree, a large and rather dense ornament in the conditionally renaissance style. In the living room, this is a gold-colored wallpaper with rich baroque ornamentation, a classical chandelier with pendants, and furniture in velvet and silk upholstery. ” The picture of the wallpaper goes to the carpet, which has its own, but density-like pattern. Thanks to this reception, the open space of the living room looks more compact, more cozy and hospitable. (The carpet was woven according to the sketches of designers specifically for this interior.)

All furniture is modern, but beautifully interprets the styles of previous eras and different parts of Europe. In the living room and dining room - furniture in the styles of three Louis, in the kitchen - the south of France, Italy and Louis XV. The bedroom decor is reminiscent of the art of the Byzantine Empire ... The bathroom is decorated with Venetian lamps of lace metal and embroidered silk, wood carving in oriental style. In the office - strict classics (which in the XIX century, after the Baroque era, was perceived by contemporaries as a kind of minimalism). How to connect with each other so different styles? But this is art. For example, in the interior of the cabinet of the boiserie, in a laconic classical style, they are beautifully combined with couches of strict empire shape ... The palette of warm colors of natural wood, from golden to chocolate, plays a unifying role.

The author of the project decorated the platform of the elevator hall with light marble and wrought-iron grids in the Mediterranean style. Such a “cool”, laconic room effectively contrasts with the “warm” and rich interior of the apartment.

Olga Tymyanskaya: “We treated the classics quite naturally, choosing and mixing different classical styles, including different geographies, and at the same time freely used separate techniques of the modern style. The result is a classic in form, but modern in spirit interior "
