Trousdale Estates, located on wooded hills above Sunset Boulevard, is one of the most architecturally significant areas of Los Angeles. It was here, in the enclave of California modernism, in a villa built exactly sixty years ago, in 1958, the outpost of the fashion project Casa Perfect was built by architect Rex Lotery.
Today, California modernism, characterized by glass walls, open plan and smooth lines, seems more relevant than ever. But it was not always so. Since the 1970s, free and light aesthetics have fallen into disrepair in order to open this century with the creative avant-garde.
House Rex Lotery with panoramic views of the city, a green lawn and a swimming pool, restored marble fireplaces and ceilings with caissons was once the home of Elvis Presley. The king of rock and roll acquired this property in 1967, where he lived with his wife Priscilla and daughter Lisa Marie for 6 years, recording the famous Suspicious Minds, Heartbreak Hotel and Hound Dog.
Casa Perfect, while preserving the history of the place, is a new type of residence-galleries, featuring the favorite designers of The Future Perfect, as well as exclusive local collections and unique exhibitions.
The Future Perfect New York Company is a permanent newsmaker of collection design exhibitions in the United States. Its founder, David Alhadeff, heard the request of those who want everything “bespoke and unusual”: such names as masters of light Lindsey Aidelman and Michael Anastassiades, authors of beautiful Calico wallpapers, Italian trendsetters Dimore Studio, Georgian brutalists Rooms duo and others. Alhadeff offers a museum quality item. So, it is possible to demonstrate it only in the respective walls.
