The Swiss watch brand Rado has updated the design of its already iconic Ceramica model, launched in 1990. The development of the new design was carried out by Konstantin Grchich, a German classic and a famous fan of Russian constructivism. In men's models, Grchich changes the classic glossy ceramics to matte. The designer also creates two versions of the dial. In the simplified version, only three numbers are coarsely allocated, in the second, a calendar is added, and the second hand is moved to a separate window. Grcic says that his watch was inspired to change the dial by pilots with clear and extremely graphic elements.
The circulation of the updated line of Ceramica from Grchicha - 701 copies. The Ceramica model is a kind of Rado business card. Black and white minimalist design watches are made of lightweight and pleasant to the touch ceramic, which is resistant to mechanical damage. In female models, the watch case remains in a ceramic gloss, and several tiny diamonds appear on the dial.
The updated Ceramica line from Grčić has been released with a circulation of 701 copies. Konstantin Grcic has already successfully collaborated with Rado in the design bureau of Jasper Morrison, who in 2010 developed the r5.5 watch collection for the brand..
