Icff 2017: american luxury and new names

The annual exhibition ICFF (International Contemporary Furniture Fair) will be held from 21 to 24 May 2017 in New York. Compared with the European giants, the ICFF exhibition is rather small, but concentrated: it is worth going here for the brightest examples of contemporary American design. More than 750 exhibitors from Austria to Japan are announced for participation, but local brands are in the spotlight. And most of them are not to be found at European interior shows. Luxury items are given a special section Luxe Interiors + Design. Connoisseurs of American luxury are waiting at the traditional address - in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center at 11 Avenue.

Another reason to look at the ICFF is important premieres that furniture and light manufacturers are preparing specifically for the large-scale American market. As well as fashionable startups and young design. So, for ICFF 2017, Rhode Island School of Design students will rethink the idea of upholstered furniture, and Bernhardt Design will once again be the curator of the ICFF Studio competition, in which designers can submit prototypes of any products.
