Russian artist Gregory Emvy likes to think outside the box: he sees his new creative realization between design, painting and sculpture. His passion is combinatorics. He creates collectible objects, working with such difficult and expressive materials as marble, concrete, copper, glass and wood, combining them in an unusual way, playing on the contrast of textures, shapes and shades.

Gregory Emvy lives and works between Moscow, Mexico and London. He received his first success and international recognition by holding a solo exhibition in 2014 in London during the Frieze fair. Later exhibited in the Louvre and on Art Miami. In his pseudonym, he sees no irony: utter practicality: to pronounce the name and surname of Grigory Maslennikov by force not for every foreigner.
