Gessi: designer bathroom

The Italian manufacturer of modern sanitary fittings is developing dynamically and takes one line after another. About principles, plans and successes tells Gianluca Jesse:

“The company has existed since 1992. At first there was a very small enterprise, but in twenty two years we managed to reach the leading positions. Jesse's family decided to enter the segment where glorified Italian historical brands have been working for a long time. From the very beginning, we followed an ecological strategy, and all production was built as “green”.

Gessi offers collections with a total look concept, that is, modules and accessories for complete furnishing and furnishing of the bathroom. All of them relate to the basic themes of Gessi: Rettangolo (rectangle), Ovale (oval), Cono (cone). The collections, as a rule, include faucets, sanitary fittings, sinks and washbasins, mirrors, bathtubs, shower trays, as well as stylish pieces of furniture. Geometry, purity of form, harmonious proportions - these are the main characteristics of our design. We offer numerous color options, that is, our client has the widest choice and can express their own taste in their home.

Mixer Diverso (1996) justified its name (it translates as “other”, “unlike.” - Approx. Ed.) And decisively broke with the tradition. Then there were products-icons Quadro (1999), Rettangolo (2002), XL (2005), Just (2007), Goccia (2009), Tremillimetri (2010). Over the years, the company has constantly strengthened its financial base, invested heavily in people, in technology.

The philosophy of Gessi is a healthy lifestyle and high-quality ecology.

We have always been characterized by the spirit of innovation, the desire to destroy stereotypes. The entire Gessi business model is designed to seamlessly integrate the new. Actually, the success of Gessi began with a revolutionary idea to radically change the traditional interpretation of a bathroom as a purely functional room, turn it into an area of creativity and expression of individuality. With the release of Quadro in 1999 and Rettangolo in 2002, the company embarked on the path of stylistic searches, introducing minimalist forms in mixers. The program of modular elements for multifunctional showers Private Wellness was launched in 2008 and is designed for a wide variety of spaces, including very small ones. Significantly expand the possibilities and various mounting options - floor and ceiling. Among the innovative products, I would point out the “living room model” - a mixer in which the light is embedded, or, if you prefer, a lamp from which water flows (coll. Gocci).

Also: Gessi: alone with nature

We have our own team. Continuing research requires people who have a thorough knowledge of the production process. But there are guest stars. A long cooperation connects us with the sculptor and designer Prospero Razulo - collections of Goccia, iSpa, Cono. Thanks to them, the Gessi brand has acquired a worldwide reputation as an innovative and glamorous manufacturer. ”

RECTANGLE

One of the achievements of the brand - ceiling mounted mixers. The control is carried out by a joystick mounted on the sink.

Prospero Rasulo’s masterpiece fully justifies its name: rettangolo means “rectangle” in Russian. Right angles and lines underlie the entire collection. The designer has brought a simple cubic form to sculptural expressiveness. Elegant minimalism - so experts evaluate the style of the program.

Mimi

The collection includes three finishes: Chrom, Gold, Finox.

In this series, an echo of classical harmony is heard in combination with specific minimalism in the style of Gessi. The collection includes three finishes: Chrom, Gold, Finox. The real hit of the collection is the ideal floor sink made of snow-white crystalllant.

ELEGANCE

Mixers from call. Eleganza comes in eight finishes. All models provide flexible eyeliner.

New product range, collection Eleganza developed by Gessi Design Studio. The company is rightly proud of the geometry of its models. The mixer and knobs look classic thanks to the profiles and the bevelled top plates. Such fittings will set the tone for an expensive and slightly historic bathroom.

DROP

Mixer and sink, call. Goccia, in a single white color look very futuristic.

The Goccia collection (in translation - “drop”) is deservedly popular with architects and designers due to its exquisite shapes and lines. Mixers, bidets, sinks and mirrors invented by Prospero Rasulo. The designer has long looked closely at the current jets of water and brought several spectacular silhouettes. The most characteristic of the collection are mixers, the completion of the outflow of which resembles an hanging drop. However, the bowls of shells (presented in black and white) are also original and are associated with the movement of water.

CONE

Coll. Cono. All Gessi mixers are machined from solid brass bars, which ensures a high class of products.

Over the design of the collection Cono reflected the famous Italian designer Prospero Rasulo. Mixers have a spectacular sculptural form. Made on the new technology IS-PVD - applying the thinnest metal coating in a vacuum. The truly unique series makes the possibility of creating exclusive shades.

INNOVATION

Call sink Goccia is popular in Europe due to its technologically advanced material Ceramilux®.

As president of the company Gianluca Jesse said, “the whole model of our business is built in such a way as to organically integrate the new.” The company makes extensive use of advanced materials, Cristalplant® and Ceramilux® composites, which help create bright shapes. Metallic coating is applied by vacuum deposition. The cascade faucet spouts are complemented by LED lights that turn the home bathroom into a trendy spa - customers all over the world have already appreciated the idea.
