Writing a new life to old things is not only an attractive but grateful thing. After the fact, you can always speculate about what happened and what became. The rebirth of the Kyoto restaurant (St. Petersburg, Fontanka Embankment, 77) was entrusted to Elena Konovalova. "The classic version of the interior with a new mood" - says the architect about his creation. Two halls - "gold" and "maroon" - now resemble theatrical scenery. Glass screens are painted with "gold" in a special French technique eglegis. Mirrors in gold and silver frames seem to reveal the perspective of stage space. In the updated design, the white mask "Kabuki" rightly occupies an honorable place. After all, this world-famous theater originated in Kyoto.
