Maxim Velkowski and Stefan Hamel, creative forces of Lasvit, called upon to invent monsters - glass figures that personify children's fears. A powerful international force was attracted to the project: Fabio Novembre, Martin Baas, Maurizio Galante, Daniel Libeskind, the duet Yabu Pushelberg and others agreed to scare and amuse.

“I don’t remember ever being afraid of monsters as a child, so my design is childishly simple: I started with scribbles,” says Dutchman Martin Baas, one of the 16 participants in the Lasvit project. However, the transformation of these fantasies into Bohemian glass took almost two years. The project aims to show young designers the potential of working with glassmaker artisans. In order to realize the sketches of designers and artists in small (up to 28 cm) and products of colored glass that are complex in design and form, great skill is required.
The collection of Lasvit Monster figures will be updated every year with the participation of new authors: a new pool of attractive monsters will be added to sex toys, Martians, Japanese tsukumogs and Lenin. Lasvit bets on collection design. And it seems to succeed.
• The premiere of the collection is at the Milan Puppet Theater Gerolamo, from April 17 to 22. 8 Piazza Cesare Beccaria
