The customer bought an apartment in the capital's skyscraper and planned to stop there when he arrives in Moscow. Housing was sold with a finished layout and decoration: there were partitions, walls and ceilings were painted, floors were laid, two bathrooms and a kitchen were equipped. “The customer decided not to invest in rework, leave everything as it is. At the same time asked to pick up the content up to the dishes and bed linen. It was an interesting experience for me, ”recalls Elena Zufarova.

“More and more apartments are being sold with finished furnishings, and customers do not want to change anything in them,” explains Elena Zufarova. - Modern people are mobile, move a lot around the world and are not going to be drawn into global repair. In addition, in places such as the EKO tower, it is also technically difficult, given the specifics of life in a skyscraper, in particular, the work of a freight elevator. Reconstructing a place like this is impractical. ”

The designers of the OKO skyscraper acted in a big way: 143 square meters. m designed essentially three rooms: open space living room-kitchen-dining room and two bedrooms. Plus two bathrooms, main and guest, a small dressing room and a laundry room. The large size of the premises required a special approach.

The main requirement of the client was: complete the project as quickly as possible. To order furniture and wait a few months until it is delivered - this option was excluded, the situation was chosen from what was available in Moscow stores. “When you buy in a store, you are always confronted with limitations - in size, color, content. But we were lucky, a lot was found at the very beginning. ”

The customer said that he wanted an interior in a modern style, but more specifically he did not formulate his wishes. “I showed him this or that subject, but he said yes or no. It is difficult for a designer to look for things when there is no input data. It is not easy to choose the content gradually, one component at a time, imagining how this will all work together.

The first item that appeared in the apartment is the sofa of the German factory Rolf Benz. Elena was worried that it would be difficult to find a suitable model: it should be proportionate to a large space, with a low back, so as not to overlap the panorama, while being comfortable. Sofa Rolf Benz in all respects was a good find.

The customer was opposed to making furniture to order, and yet Elena convinced him to use the services of a carpentry workshop: a dresser in the dining room, a bedside table in the living room, and a console in the hallway made according to her sketches. “My city is a storage system in the guest bedroom. Deep wardrobes transform into the wall decoration with the same panels as on the facades, and mask carrier columns measuring 1.2 x 1.2 m. ”

The project can be called modern, not only in style, but also in organization. Elena recalls that for all the time she personally spoke with the customer only two times: the main interaction occurred through instant messengers - the client travels a lot. Of course, it happened that he was out of the access zone and this or that question could not be agreed upon as quickly as we would like. But this did not prevent the successful completion of the work.
