From November 17 to November 21, the 15th anniversary exhibition Furniture-2003 was held at the Expocenter on Krasnaya Presnya. This exhibition is valuable because only here, without leaving Moscow, you can see the new items that were shown at the two most important furniture fairs of the year: in Milan and Cologne. In a word, “Mebel-2003” is a kind of fashion show, where everyone can appreciate what is now in fashion Wandering through the pavilions of "Furniture", pay attention to particulars. The most popular color is red. The most popular finish is under wenge. Such traditionally "wooden" pieces of furniture, like chairs and beds, are increasingly wrapped in leather. The fashion for high-tech is not over: the combination of glass and metal, glass and leather are still popular. Cubism reigns in kitchens - due to the fact that the doors do not have handles, kitchen cabinets look like an empty field for playing tic-tac-toe. The “island” acquires paramount importance in the kitchen: in fact, the modern kitchen is, in fact, the “island” with a stove and sink, behind which rises a huge wall-cupboard where household appliances are hidden. In a word, it is impossible to talk about the existence of a single trend - in modern design for a long time "there are no roads, there are only directions".
