The living space created by architect Vera Gerasimova is dynamic in nature, it is perceived as if in motion. The corridors that surround the center of the apartment set the vector for this movement in the orbits of the two zones - the private and the main The semicircle of the “front” corridor starts from a square hallway with an adjoining utility room and guest bathroom. A reservation should be made here: not a corridor in the traditional sense, bounded on two sides by walls, but some modern variation on the portico. On the right - a bend of a smooth wall with vertical lamps rhythmically dissecting its plane. On the left - supports, whose measured step is in line with the rhythm of the lamps, setting the pace for the movement. Flat, rectangular pylons in cross section only conditionally separate from the corridor the premises of the public zone - the dining room and the living room. These interiors are designed in a concise, functional way. In them, the almost complete lack of decor is compensated by the work of various textures. The light planes of painted walls, fabrics with steel shimmer, frosted glass and metal, the geometric pattern of ceiling and tile-lined floors ... Perhaps the style of the front rooms can be defined as high-tech. But high-tech in his relaxed, romantic, without excessive technicalism of the editorial board. Follow on. The floor pattern in the corridor indicates the intersection of two circles. This point is the beginning of the circle of the private zone. Two children's rooms, a study, a master bedroom ... As they move around in the interiors, the high-tech elements completely disappear, its slightly chilly "metal" beauty gives way to moods that are more intimate and individual. Styling and allusions are introduced into the design of the premises, indicating the predilections of apartment owners. Thus, Japanese motifs appear in the master bedroom: a rounded wall that looks like a decorative screen with through openings, horizontal blinds framed in dark wenge frames, wallpaper made of split straw, a bamboo screen (already real) in the bathroom adjacent to the bedroom ... "Of course “We did not set ourselves the task of literally following Eastern traditions and, moreover, did not strive for ethnographic accuracy,” recalls Vera Gerasimova. “In my opinion, we managed to achieve a fairly free interpretation of the Japanese theme, which sounds in Terriers are very delicate and, in general, European-style. "Vera Gerasimova: "In this project we did not strive for the stylistic unity of all interiors, but, on the contrary, for possible diversity. Following the wishes of the owners, we introduced Japanese motifs in the private area, and the dining room and the living room and the whole front part were decided - flow. "
