1. Verner Panton Pantone Chair

Panton Chrome, Vitra

Panton Chair made its debut at the Cologne Furniture Fair exactly fifty years ago, in 1968. In 2018, Vitra released in honor of this anniversary two updated versions of the legendary model: Panton Chrome and Panton Glow. Unlike other masters of Scandinavian design, Verner Panton (1926–1998) was interested in plastic and other rapidly developing artificial materials. Having created a reputation of a designer who sees the future, the author of unique chairs, the Dane Verner Panton, worked for many years with the furniture company Vitra. For Vitra, Werner Panton designed the Flying Chair, an optimistic fantasy item that became a hit in the 1964 Cologne Furniture Salon. And in 1967, Vitra introduced the Panton Chair to the public, the first chair bent from a single sheet of plastic. Smooth, elegant, sexy subject has become a symbol of the era. Especially the Panton Chair became famous after filming "How to undress in front of her husband" with popular singer Amanda Lear for Nova magazine in 1971.

Panton Glow, Vitra

The new edition of Panton Chrome embodies the dream of Panton - a chair with a mirrored surface, which at that time was an insurmountable technological obstacle. Panton Chrome has gained a radiant appearance as a result of the metallization process, in which metal particles are integrated into numerous layers of varnish. Panton Glow (born “glowing”) was created in collaboration with Werner's widow - Marianne Panton: five layers of lacquer containing phosphorescent pigments are applied manually and fixed with a glossy protective coating.

3. Poul Kierholm PK24™

Republic of Fritz Hansen ™ publishes limited edition furniture of the legendary Danish designer Poul Kierholm (1929–1980), headliner of auctions, whose works are estimated in three-digit numbers. In 2016, the company celebrated its 60th anniversary with the re-release of the PK22 armchair and the PK61 coffee table, updating the materials: now it is patinated dark steel, nubuck and gray marble. “I consider steel to be material with the same artistic value as wood and leather,” said Poul Kierholm. At the company Fritz Hansen, Kierholm worked for about a year, but managed to create prototypes that later became one of the best chairs and chairs of the 20th century. In 1958, Kierholm received international recognition and the Lunning Award for the PK22 chair. Since 1982, Republic of Fritz Hansen ™ has been involved in items designed by the designer from 1951 to 1967. The PK24 ™ lounger with its light curves and organic form is perhaps the most recognizable among other things by Kierholm. Its size and proportions refer to the French couch, which appeared in the Rococo era. Kierholm also spoke of the PK24 ™ as a hammock chair.

4. Pierre Polen Ribbon и Slice

French innovator of the second half of the twentieth century Pierre Polen was preparing to become a sculptor, but he did not, damaging his right hand in a fight. He started designing furniture in the early 1950s, when Scandinavians and Americans were at the height of trends. In 1954, Polen began making furniture for the Thonet company, and in 1958 he became a designer at the Dutch firm Artifort. During his long career, Polen designed the interiors for President Pompidou and painted over two hundred chairs, chairs, poufs, sun beds and sofas. In an effort to make the chair more comfortable, he turned to new materials, such as molded foam, furniture covers "sewed" from elastic seamless knitwear, which was previously used only for the manufacture of swimsuits. Polen renews the chair, facilitating its structure, completely hiding the frame inside the cover, leaving only the shape. In 2007, in the year of the 80th anniversary of Pierre Polen, Artifort released all of his famous armchairs and sofas in Momentum upholstery with a spectacular, expressive ornament. In 2018, the well-known models of the 60s - the Slice and Ribbon chairs - received new upholstery in velvet in green and pink shades.

5. Ferdinand Kramer Calvert Table

The German furniture brand celebrates the 120th anniversary of Ferdinand Kramer (1898–1985) by re-issuing the Calvert table with a chessboard layout on the tabletop. Designer and modernist architect Kramer made furniture minimalist, beautifully balanced proportions and the most universal application. He worked under the leadership of Mies van der Rohe, and in the period of Nazism, between 1938 and 1952, he lived in New York. In 1952, Ferdinand Kramer was appointed director of the construction of the University. Goethe, where he designed the interiors for 23 university buildings. Working closely with Cramer’s family and archive, e15 publishes twelve of his significant works. The low coffee table Calvert Ferdinand Kramer designed in 1951 while staying in America. This is part of his successful Knock-Down furniture series, originally proposed for Coca-Cola's picnics. In a special edition of 2018, the chessboard is printed by screen printing on natural oak or red lacquer.

6. Poul Henningsen PH-5

Dane, intellectual provocateur, scandalous journalist, author of the legendary PH and Artichoke lamps, forever included in the “golden” design collection of the 20th century, Poul Henningsen loved not the light, but the shadow, more precisely, its absence. He tirelessly set up experiments to create a lamp that would give a soft, diffused light without glare. He made multi-layer lampshades from concentric rings-reflectors, with different profiles, reflecting light from different angles and hiding the light bulb itself. From below, he painted them with matte paint, from above - glossy, so that soft light is evenly reflected from the outer surface. Louis Poulsen has the rights to release the rich heritage of Henningsen. Among the many iconic works is the PH5 series. The design of the lampshade is based on the principle of a reflective three-color system, which directs most of the light down. The lamp also emits side light, thus illuminating itself. The krassic warm tone of light is created by an internal red cone and a small blue reflector. In 2018, the lamp received new rich colors: red chilli, coconut white, mint blue, olive and wasabi green, pale pink with dark gray, turquoise with army, etc. There are six combinations.

7. Arne Jacobsen Bellevue by Arne Jacobsen, Mayor

Tecta, as always, pleases with novelties - this time in the new decoration appeared chairs with wicker seat and backrest. Dark green, deep red, deep blue and turquoise were added to the possible shades.
